Dr. Donald Freas founded TriVitro after a 30 year career in the mining and metals industry. He was asked to participate in Washington State's Clean Washington Center, a public-private initiative to find creative ways to increase the markets and uses of recyclable commodities. Focusing specifically on waste glass, he realized that much of the technology used in the mineral fields could be adapted to processing recycled glass.
Vitroclean

The proven alternative filter media - over 20 years of success with tens of thousands of installations throughout the world. Vitroclean recycled glass is a direct replacement for silica sand. Using our proprietary milling technology, we remove contaminates to produce a clean, high quality filter media.
Abrasives
Report
Sandblasting can be done much more safely and effectively by replacing sand and slag with our NIOSH-recommended crushed recycled glass for surface preparation, rust, and paint removal, and abrasive cleaning. We have two brands of abrasives: Enviro-Grit and Vitrogrit. A versatile blend of sizes for depainting and rust removal on tanks, bridges, shipyards, with better scouring power for corners, pits and weld seams.
