Owners, Rick Montrose and Josh Montrose are Certified Master Chimney Technicians through Certified Chimney Professionals, a highly prestigious and rare accolade! Rick was a Denver Firefighter from 1975 to 2015 (retired), and Josh started as a chimney sweep in 1998. Between these two owners, they have a combined experience of almost 60 years and have cleaned and inspected thousands of fireplace chimneys! Working with Rick and Josh is Spencer Roszelle, Casey Edwards, and Jeremy Montrose who are also Certified Chimney Professionals.

Inspections of all chimney and venting systems for combustion appliances; Vacuuming and hand-brushing of the firebox; Cleaning and checking the damper for proper operation; Removing all debris and soot from the smoke shelf (which is above and behind the damper); Hand-brushing of the smoke chamber and chimney flue; Checking and cleaning of the chimney cap (if applicable); Instructions for the safe use of your fireplace or woodstove, upon request. Level I Inspections are ALWAYS included with every cleaning!

We charge a flat rate of $110.00 to inspect your fireplace and chimney anywhere in the Denver area and suburbs. Trip charges apply to any location outside of the Denver/Metro area. For example: a $10-$30 charge does apply to areas around Boulder. If your chimney needs to be cleaned, our prices start at $179 for a regular fireplace, which includes the NFPA Level 1 inspection and trip.

A: Creosote, which is a product of combustion in your fireplace, accumulates on the walls of your chimney. This buildup is flammable and when the soot build up reaches 1/4 thick anywhere in the system, there is an increased risk of a serious chimney fire. A: The NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standard for inspection/service of a wood-burning or gas fireplace is ANNUALLY.
