Specialized Mold & Allergen Remediation Services
BioClean was founded in 1980 as a family-owned business initially focused on carpet, upholstery, and window cleaning. Over four decades, we evolved to address critical indoor air quality needs for individuals with heightened sensitivities to environmental toxins. Our proprietary combination of technologies targets microscopic health hazards like mold, mycotoxins, bacteria, and allergens in hard-to-reach areas including HVAC systems, crawlspaces, and attics. We specialize in whole-home decontamination using ClO2 fumigation, a method proven to achieve 92-100% reduction of contaminants. Our team holds multiple industry certifications including NORMI, NCMA, and NCMR.

We serve Northern California with a commitment to creating healthier living environments through scientific precision and personalized service. Our processes eliminate the need for extensive demolition in most cases, preserving personal belongings while achieving medical-grade sanitation. We prioritize transparency, providing pre- and post-remediation testing to verify results. Our 45-year legacy stems from listening to client needs and developing solutions that address both visible contamination and invisible health threats. Today, we remain dedicated to advancing remediation science while maintaining the personalized service that defines our family business.

Services
Mold Remediation
Our mold remediation service addresses hidden mold contamination in building materials and HVAC systems. Using IICRC s520 standards, we remove contaminated materials while preserving structural integrity. The process includes pre-remediation inspection, HEPA vacuuming, wet cleaning, and post-remediation verification testing. Our proprietary ClO2 fumigation reaches inaccessible areas to neutralize remaining spores and mycotoxins. This comprehensive approach creates safer environments for individuals with mold sensitivities.
ClO2 Fumigation
Chlorine dioxide (ClO2) fumigation neutralizes microscopic contaminants throughout entire structures. The gas penetrates insulation, furniture, and wall cavities to eliminate mold, bacteria, and allergens. This EPA-verified method achieves 92-100% reduction of contaminants without requiring demolition. The process treats HVAC systems, crawlspaces, and personal belongings simultaneously. No residual chemicals remain after treatment, making it safe for sensitive individuals. This non-invasive solution preserves personal property while achieving medical-grade sanitation.
Allergen Remediation
Our allergen remediation targets protein-based contaminants like dust mites, pet dander, and pollen. The three-step cleaning process removes both visible and microscopic particles from all surfaces. We test for specific allergens (Der p 1, Fel d 1, Can f 1) to create targeted treatment plans. Post-remediation testing confirms allergen reduction to safe levels. This service benefits individuals with asthma and allergies by creating cleaner indoor environments. The whole-home approach ensures comprehensive contaminant removal from HVAC systems and hard-to-reach areas.
Emergency Decontamination
Emergency decontamination services address viral and bacterial outbreaks in residential and commercial spaces. We use hospital-grade disinfectants and advanced technologies to neutralize pathogens like norovirus and MRSA. The process includes volatile organic compound (VOC) removal to eliminate chemical pollutants. Our rapid response team treats high-touch surfaces and hidden contamination areas. This service helps prevent re-infection in homes, schools, and workplaces. We provide documentation of decontamination completion for peace of mind.
Assessment & Testing
Our assessment services identify hidden environmental contaminants through visual inspections and laboratory testing. We analyze air, surface, and wall cavity samples for mold, mycotoxins, and allergens. The process includes moisture mapping to locate water intrusion sources. We use ERMI and EMMA analysis for comprehensive allergen profiling. Post-remediation testing verifies treatment effectiveness. This data-driven approach ensures complete contaminant removal while documenting results for clients and healthcare providers.

I've been in the commercial real estate business for 38 years. In my time working with the biggest and most demanding tech companies in Silicon Valley who can afford the best and most expensive vendors, I've never come across a more knowledgeable, responsive and true professional than John and his team at Good Housekeeping. He has been cleaning all of the carpets in our mid-peninsula family home for over 10 yrs.

Good Housekeeping got us through the slime craze with our daughter when she was young, thru puppy house breaking stage with our lab. Good Housekeeping really understands the chemistry involved in cleaning and protecting carpets. I whole heartedly and strongly recommend Good Housekeeping to family, friends and associates.

No one could get the stains out of our doggie stained carpet until GOOD HOUSEKEEPING came along. And not only did they remove all stains, and it appears they are staying out for good, but they also cleaned our living room furniture and amazingly made eight year old furniture look brand new! I have never been inspired to write about a cleaning company till now. But Good Housekeeping does need to change their name. IT should be called GREAT HOUSEKEEPING :
