A fine woman's tailor like his father, he had little trouble finding work in Brooklyn, N.Y. He and his wife Ester a dressmaker opened their 1st tailor shop and dry cleaning store in 1922. Ernest Fried arrived in this country in 1939. Through his Aunt he met the Rosenzweigs, worked for them and married their daughter Vera.
