The National Fire Protection Association recommends yearly chimney inspections regardless of use plus cleaning & repair as needed. Our technicians use state-of-the-art equipment to inspect and sweep chimneys of all kinds, including wood stoves, fireplaces, and pellet stoves. While sweeping your system, we ensure that it's in working order. We look for any problems that could prevent peak performance and recommend what is needed for your system to burn cleanly and safely.
We offer the full range of repairs to chimney systems, big and small, from repairing leaky flashing to tuckpointing and masonry repair to relining the flue and chimney rebuilding. We always include 10 year masonry water repellent application on all masonry repairs. This prevents freeze/thaw damage from moisture.
New Clean Burning EPA Rated wood stoves or fireplace inserts are over 50% more energy-efficient than old non-EPA Rated stoves. We are your independent low overhead stove source. We sell and install quality name brand stoves and fireplace inserts. We clean, service, and repair all brands of stoves, and know which ones our customers are happy with and provide dependable service year in and year out.

Ye Old Town Sweep has cleaned and repaired our fireplace chimneys for over two decades. He shows up when scheduled, cleans both chimneys and leaves no mess. Our home first build date is 1880 with a second build date 1951. Standards have changed over many decades. Recommendations to rebuild meet current standards. While I have not yet saved enough to do the recommended repairs, I have always had excellent service for very fair fees.

I used them to sweep my chimney (open fire place) for the first time today. The amiable Grant did a very thorough job and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't really need. He took some time to explain some preventative maintenance I could do myself that would delay the need for future repair work. Whilst they are not the cheapest sweep in town they use commercial outside vented vacuum systems so there was no trace of soot or odor in the house afterwards - makes the slightly higher cost well worthwhile. Highly recommended!

We had them come clean our townhouse chimney (open wood burning fireplace) They introduced themselves upon arrival (John & Josh) & immediately removed their shoes. They layered our hardwood floors in tarps & sucked out all the soot with an industrial vacuum. Josh inspected everything up top on the roof. He also fixed a chimney mistake made during the last re-roofing.
A particular piece of flashing wasn't sealed. It was a minor fix & very inexpensive. We had our dryer vent cleared & calibrated as well ($50 due to a short "vent hose line") Seeing the piles of lint cleared out, an the vent readings go up, .equals fire hazard an a lower EWEB bill . The whole process was quick, friendly, an not badly priced. We were given extra tips on chimney upkeep & ways to prolong our fireplace. Thank you Ye Old Town Sweep

After asking around, this company kept coming up as the go to in the area for chimney services. So I gave them a call and they got me on the books, they were booked out 2 months but it was the cold season. Well they just left, and I couldn't be happier with their services. They did the job quickly and better than the last company I had tried. They even wrote me a quote for services that I would need to have done once the weather gets better and gave me a rundown of what they found and what I needed to take care of right away.
