Absolutely terrible. I dropped my wedding dress off in November of 2021 to get it cleaned and boxed. When I picked up the dress about a month later I drove home to find the box seal opened. None of my valuables were shown (shoes, earrings, etc.) The bottom of the dress was still completely black. I would have never known if the seal wasnt broken and I didn't take it back.

It is now end of March 2022 and the dress still is not clean and boxed. I have now visited them approximately 10-15 times because they keep having me come in to view the dirty dress. I called today to pick it up and they said it was ready to go. I got there and they don't have it ready. I am so sick of visiting this place and the dress is still not ready.

Manager has never been apologetic and makes excuses every time. This has been the most stressful part of the entire wedding process. Save your time, money, and effort and take your wedding dresses elsewhere!

This location is a lot larger than the other Highland Cleaners on Bardstown. My 4-star review is strictly for the service. I brought my clothes in on Monday and it was ready for pickup on Tuesday at 5pm. They were super fast and nice - especially since I was in a rush. The reason I couldn't give it a full 5 star was because it was a bit on the pricier end, however, since I was looking for something more convenient, and I knew that I was going to be paying for that - I knew what I was getting myself into. Also - there's parking! (Not something you see often on Bardstown Rd!)

I have had great experiences with this location of Highland Cleaners! I typically visit the location in the Highlands, as it's closer to my house, but I have been to this location twice for alterations, and I have dropped off dry cleaning items here during those visits. The dry cleaning was always up to par with what I've experienced at the other location.

It was always quick and easy to drop items off, and they clearly tell you when your items will be ready. Picking up was always quick and the prices were reasonable. Both items I had altered here turned out great! One was a bridesmaids dress that needed shortened and they were able to quickly and easily hem the dress up for me at a reasonable price.

I had the dress in time for the wedding and it fit perfectly. If you're looking for a place for alterations or dry cleaning, I think this location of Highland Cleaners is great!

I dropped off a pair of casual tan jean type pants to have them shortened. When I picked them up they were altered like they were supposed to be but someone decided they were going to press them ( with creases ) n of course do it using starch. When I took them back asked the girl at the counter why they would put creases in jeans.she feels the material of the pants n doesn't say anything.

As if the material meant they should be pressed with a crease. I asked them to take the crease out n she informs me that it may not come out because of the starch they use. But they would, " try free of charge " First. I don't understand why she would think it would be anything but free of charge. Second dropping them off I didn't request pressing.

And esp a crease. It was obvious looking at the pants these are flat front casual pants. But more than all that. if they have ruined the pants I expect a refund of what I paid for the alterations and the pants to be paid for. I have a VM into the manager. I'll update when I hear back.

Recently moved to Louisville. Dropped of a suit (only worn once) to be cleaned and pressed. Dropped at Highland Cleaners on Shelbyville Rd. Came back to pick up suit and was charged in excess of $20.00 for one suit! Nothin fancy. Men's jacket and pants (good thing I didn't drop off the vest!). Only worn once (not extra dirty or anything), and charges $20.20!

As i have recently moved here, I have 6 additional suits to be cleaned and pressed. Stopped at another cleaners within WALKING DISTANCE. $12.00 per suit. Guess where the 6 other suits are going? Why do people in this town put up with this? As best, their cleaning is mediocre. 6 suits getting cleaned at $12.00 per pop is $72.00 vs. $121.20 at Highland. Loyalty? By overcharging $49.20? Heck, that's a good Seafood Dinner out! Take my advice and shop around before you go to Highland Cleaners.

I can't say enough great things about highland cleaners. Anytime I've had issues with spots, or keeping my white oxfords starched and bright and phenomenal pressing, so crisp and literally make me feel I'm dressed like a million bucks! I tell anyone and everyone about highland

This is kind of painful to write as in the pas I have had some good experiences at Highland Cleaners but not lately. I had a few things that needed alterations and I have used Highland Cleaners in the past with success. It isn't the cheapest- but they generally were not the most expensive either and got the job done quickly and with no issues.

Until now that is. I had a pair of dress pants that I bought on our honeymoon in Rome that simply need to be hemmed a few inches and a white flowy maxi dress that needed hemming and breast cups. The pants were straight forward and not too pricey but the dress she explained would be about $50 as it had 2 layers and one was delicate. That seemed like a lot but I wanted to wear it so I agreed.

I picked my clothes up Christmas Eve morning. Granted- she told me she could have it ready the Friday before but I said no real rush. When I picked it up- I could see the right breast cup sticking out of the dress but thought maybe it just shifted so I paid ($88 for pants and dress!) and went along my way. After getting home and taking the dress out of the plastic cover- I realize the cup was sewn in wrong and was extremely exposed. (unwearable) I was not happy- at all.

I waited until after Christmas- so yesterday I called and explained the problem. They did not even seem apologetic. They just asked me to bring it back in so they could fix it. For the price I paid- I expected a partial refund, store credit or something. Unless they reach out to me with a better solution- I will not ever go back. So sad.

The tailoring to both of my pants was exceptional! There is no evidence of them being taken in or shortened. I also had 2 collared shirts cleaned which were pressed beautifully. This was my first experience at the cleaners so I do believe they should be a bit more warm and friendly but otherwise I really enjoyed my experience!

I've been needing to get my white coat for work all nice and cleaned up. I wasn't in any hurry, it was the day before the 4th and I was getting ready to head out of town for a week. The people were kind when they greeted me and prompt with their service despite having to multi task between customers and the drive through pick up window/door.

She took my information, my dirty white coat, and gave me a yellow receipt for pick up. I didn't have to pay for the service until I picked it up the following week. The edges of my coat were crisply ironed and it looked better than the day I got it in regards to neatness. I will say that I have a number of stains that were not able to be pulled out of the coat and the sleeves are still dingy toward the wrists; however, I'm very pleased with the service.

I mean, I don't expect for all the stains I encounter to be wiped clean with one round of dry cleaning. And, to top it off, it was relatively inexpensive. I dig that, particularly since this would be something I did maybe twice a year.

The Highland Dry Cleaner chain is, as indicated, A-OK. They have done an acceptable job with dry cleaning and shirt laundry for me. They have lovely buildings, always clean, and the staff are always pleasant. However, their prices are an obscenity; often two or three times higher than what I paid for the sames services in Chicago or Washington, D.C. (where similar businesses are forced to pay much higher rent, wages, and taxes). When you take your business to one of the lovely well-appointed Highland red brick palaces, be reminded that you are the one footing the bill.

Things have really changed. This used to be the place you could go with difficult cases and they would almost always be able to work their magic. Well magic no more. I took in a broquet jacket (black on cream). It had some small orangey spots on the cream background. I got it back with the cream now completely grayed. It is ruined.

Highland Cleaners is our go-to dry cleaner. I have also had many things tailored and repaired here, from bridesmaids dresses, to coat linings and suits. They do a great job and they are very friendly.

It's hard to trust someone with your wedding dress, but they did a fabulous job on mine. Not a spot to be found on it.

I bought a pair of brand new curtains from JCPenney. took them out of the package and they are all wrinkly. I have decided to take them to the nearest Cleaners to run it trough their commercial fabric steam press. I went to this -lovely- place and they would measure these for a while, were super detailed about square inch. and said "$22 dollars". I was shocked and so I asked in apparent disbelief " Really?" and they said " Yeah.a piece " How could some place that charges $44+ tax for 5 minute fabric press job will remain in business is a complete mystery to me, but one thing is for sure. there is absolutely NO chance that I would even give them any of my business.

Their pricing is beyond ridiculous! Explains their yelp rating-however. (* just to clarify again - brand new- no cleaning needed, nothing.just to iron press job for two curtains about 4'x7' )

I took in a cashmere sweater with a stain for cleaning; I identified the stain, and left it to the professionals at Highland. However, when I came to pick up the sweater, it had a stain tag on it, indicating that they hadn't been able to remove the mark. In their attempts, though, they seriously pilled the fabric by rubbing it. There was no discount on my cleaning since they couldn't remove the stain.

I thought, "Well, that's a couple hundred bucks down the drain." But I'm not a quitter. To make the story just a *little* bit more irritating, I took the sweater home, Googled how to clean cashmere, tossed it in the washer in a lingerie bag, added a little Mrs. Meyer's and lo and behold, 10 minutes later had a sweater with no stain. Makes me wonder a little bit about the professional cleaning abilities of Highland. I'll go back to my $2.75-per-piece cleaner from now on.

I've taken my clothes here for alterations and cleaning. The past year, I had a few nice things altered and they came back great. It was somewhat reasonably priced as well, and I made sure to get the same woman. Recently I took a sweater in to clean, and it came back half unraveled! They just handed it to me like no big deal. No tag saying anything about damage. Again, I went to have three items taken in, one a bridesmaids dress (so I expected to pay a little more because of the material). $125 dollars later and I could have paid to just buy almost all three of these items again. Ridiculous. I will never, ever, take any of my clothes there again. High prices, horrible customer service, and an all over RIP OFF.

Awful, awful. I had two items dry cleaned, and both of them came back to me not the least bit cleaner. Perhaps they were just steamed and pressed? At $10 a piece, I had expected more. I had a set of vintage dresses hemmed at the tailor shop. Keep in mind, I am a fashion designer so I know what I want. I do not have a commercial blind stitch machine so it was my desire to have these sewn correctly.

I was charged $22 for each dress to have them hemmed to 30" from high point shoulder on each one. All of them came back fine, expect that it was made 22" long from the center front. I gave specific directions. I had to wait a week to get my original items, but on going back into the tailor shop, I was told to wait, and then later on that day I had my dress fixed. Thankfully they didn't chop it too short, and the damage was repairable.
