In 1993, at age eighteen, I spent a year of my life at a Christian college seeking to determine whether vocational ministry or a career as an entrepreneur was the plan God had for my life. I pursued my heart's desire Ps. 37:4, and in 1995 began Top Job Services, Inc. It was very exciting for me to use the experience that I had gained overseeing part of the 36-employee operation that my father's company offered me.

Steam-A-Way Weighs In! A recent google review was posted by a person operating under the name, Bruce Oreo. This person, alias or not, has never received service from Steam-A-Way. All attempts to locate or initiate communications with this person regarding his/her complaint have yielded no result. It is, however, unfortunate, because Steam-A-Way has a satisfaction policy in place to leave no person unsatisfied.

We at Steam-A-Way realize this is easier said than done. That being said, it is our duty to inform you, that there is indeed a place to assign rights to the insurance payment on the back of our contracts. If it is unsigned, then the homeowner is not bound by it. In addition, the signing client has three days to cancel the contract These are standard practices with all restoration specialists.

Why is it necessary? Well, what is to keep the customer from simply not paying after the work has been completed? (yes, this has happened numerous times). The purpose of the contract is to hold both the homeowner AND MORE IMPORTANTLY Steam-A-Way to its promises. As for the pricing of the service; Steam-A-Way uses the very same XACTIMATE software that the insurance company uses to determine the scope of work and the cost.

This is for the benefit of the homeowner because it keeps the insurance company honest about what they are responsible to cover, and how much that coverage should be for. Any one who has ever dealt with insurance has felt the insecurity that comes with questions like, "How much damage will they cover? How much will they pay out? Will I get denied?

I'm not an expert, how will I know that I am getting all that I am entitled to?" - All these questions are exactly what Steam-A-Way is in business to handle. Our goal is to take all the headaches out of the equation, and put your home back normal. Also, it would behoove the reader to note what Mr/Ms Oreo failed to mention is that none of that bill was paid for by the homeowner. (also please note, that we cannot verify the existence of Mr/Ms Bruce or their stated bill).

To conclude: Please see the Better Business Bureau where Steam-A-Way holds the highest marks. And if in case you are a very thorough conspiracy theorist and suspect that the BBB might be rigged, please reference Steam-A-Way's A+ rating on Angie's List.

My experience with this company started with the "Nice" emergency responder that had my elderly mother sign a contract that she thought was for the services they were preforming at that time. She also though they would be bidding on the repair work that would be needed. He wasn't nice enough to explain that she was signing over all her insurance benifits to them.

They never gave her a price, discussed what cabinets she would want or anything that a person in there normal mine would want to know before signing. As a matter of fact, she didn't see a price until almost three weeks after the contract was singed. The discription of what she was signing for was on the back of said contract where she states she was never shown.

Unlike most honest companys, there was no spot on that side to intial to prove that the customer was shown that side. After I became aware of this my wife and I tried talked with the owner John. John was extremely rude and nasty to my wife and told her she had 3 days to cancel and it was to late. It only took him 3 weeks to get her the price. This is not to mention the over pricing on both the service provided and the bid to do the work.

While my mother was waiting on the price from Steam-A-Way she was told by her insurance company that she could get other bids. Why would she do this if she unstood that she signed all right over to Steam-A-way. Those bids ranged between $6,500 to just over $10,000. You could only imange her surprise when the bid came in from Steam-A-Way at just over $20,300. We had the worst experince with this company and all I can say if they show up at you door is Runnnnnnnnnnn
