Pettyjohn's did an outstanding job cleaning two ivory colored Ethan Allen chair cushions and arm protectors. I had botched a do-it-yourself cleaning job, but now thanks to Katie at Pettyjohn's they are like new again. Their staff was professional, friendly and helpful, and their price was very reasonable. Pettyjohn's is simply the best in the trade for general rug cleaning/restoration, upholstery cleaning or stain removal. They have extensive knowledge and training which is highly beneficial when working with heirloom or delicate fibers. I don't trust anyone else. I have used them to remove red wine stains on a chair cushion and rug as well as a pet stain on a hand woven rug.

I call them whenever I am in doubt as to how to pre-treat a rug or an upholstery item. Their waiver states they cannot guarantee results however Perryjohn's has never failed me!

Customer service goes above and beyond! Very responsive and on time for services booked. This business definitely takes pride is doing great quality work!

Critical: Professionalism Called five times today. First time they immediately put me on hold. The same young lady said Holland hung up on me. Called back she did same. Last time went to an answering machine. Needed five silk wool nylon rugs cleaned over 2k of business. Guess they are not in the business to make money. Horrible service.

Hands down an AMAZING company. From the customer service side of things to the actual cleaning of the upholstery it was professional, quick, and affordable. They had excellent communication from start to finish and were able to restore two chairs that were badly stained. They came back looking brand new with no stains or odor. I would highly recommend this company to anyone thinking they need to replace a furniture item because it cannot be saved. I hired Pettyjohns to treat my new oriental rugs with Fiber Protector a few months ago. They were extremely professional and demonstrated a high level of expertise on the product. I hesitated getting the treatment as I just paid for my new rugs and didnt really want to spend more money but after discussing with them, they convinced me of the value.

And I am SO HAPPY I listened. One of my dogs threw up on the rug and I didn't see it until the next day when it was partially dried. The vomit basically sat on top of the rug fibers and I was able to easily remove it with no permanent stain. The protector does not change the feel of the rug at all. I highly recommend PettyJohns and the FiberProtector product for your rugs and carpets! Its worth the cost and wish I knew about Pettyjohns years ago.

I would highly recommend Pettyjohn to anyone needing area rug cleaning. Amy & the service team exceeded my expectations, from the pick up and delivery services, the quick answers to my questions and the excellent condition in which my rugs (wool & synthetic) were returned. The prices may seem high but the value for your money makes it worth the price you pay. I will use Pettyjohn again when I need my area rugs cleaned.

I researched quite a bit to find a place that could professionally clean my Oriental rugs. They were very dirty after years of wear and tear and I doubted they would ever get entirely clean, but I gave Pettyjohn's a shot! They did not disappoint! They managed to bring the rugs back to their original beauty, which was no easy feat! The staff did a great job of explaining the process and it was quickly clear they take their job seriously. I had a great experience with Pettyjohn's. I purchased a vintage oriental carpet at an antique store and wanted it cleaned before I put it in my home. The store recommended Pettyjohn's for this type of rug. When I dropped the rug off, I had the opportunity to meet Robert, the owner. He is very charismatic and gave me a tour of the facility. I felt like I was on an elementary school field trip - it was great.

He explained what each of the machines did and that they try to be as green as possible - there is a cistern to collect rain water! They not only clean rugs and carpets, but also sofa cushions and other upholstery items. My rug was ready before the original date they had provided. All of the people that work at Pettyjohn's are very friendly and professional. They seem to take a lot of pride in their work and their reputation. I would definitely use Pettyjohn's again the future.

We used Pettyjohn's carpet cleaning service five years ago before placing our home for sale. Their attention to details, professional service, excellent cleaning techniques were impressive. Recently I had them tackle several rooms, hall and stairs. The carpet is a light color that showed the results of children, water damage, and a rust spot. Again, their knowledge and skill produced carpet we can enjoy for a few more years. Pettyjohn's removed a large red wine stain from our brand new sofa cushion. When we dropped off the cushion they thoroughly explained their cleaning and fabric protection process. They gave us the costs for the cleaning, the protective spray, and treating the rest of the sofa - very transparent and worth the cost. The work was done in the time frame that worked best for us. We felt like they went above and beyond to accommodate us.
