I had a water leak January 2022. As of June 1, work is only half done. Work has been sporadic (1-2 weeks between work) after paying the contracted amounts, work completely stopped. It's been one month since any work has been done. Calling the office resulted in random excuses, until they figured out I knew better. Then they said they would have the project manager to give me a call. The project manager has not called (2 weeks).

Great company to start off with. After a house fire we found it very easy to talk to and get ahold of members of Midwest. But it seemed after we signed the contract for structure work they disappeared. Very rarely were able to get ahold of anyone and took days to return calls. Our house sat vacant for a month. Then to top it all off, they pulled out of the contract the day before demo was supposed to start because the remodel would take too long and they wouldn't make enough money. To say we were pissed is a major understatement.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They put a lien on my home for something that was their fault. They sent my insurance company the wrong estimate to the wrong email so it was delayed getting paid. I was in contact with Kelley in the claims deparment along with my insurance company trying to get the correct estimate sent to my insurance company to get the bill paid (they sent the self pay estimate which was significantly less than the estimate they send to the insurance company) and Kelley proceeded to put a lien on my home within 24 hours of our conversation.

If I had been informed that they would be putting a lien on my home if the bill was not paid within 24 hours, I would have paid it myself. Both myself and my insurance company have left messages to speak with management, and neither of us have recieved a call back. This company has terrible communication amongst their employees and with their clients. THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced.

Remarkable just-in-time response and capacity to address major water incident at 1500+ student middle school such that no instructional time was lost even after a 2-story sprinkler head burst. Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value Very untrustworthy business practices. I never file complaints but am compelled to warn people. Our washer leaked and water went all throughout our first floor and they were onsite within the hour of calling them. Their service was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and worked directly with our insurance company to get us back to where we were before. Hopefully, we don't have to call them again however we were happy they helped us and were on our side. Call Midwest hey have your back.

Midwest Remediation came to our home on or around January 18, 2022; the rep recommended mat drying our hardwood floors for a period of 10-days, the installed the mats/blowers the next day. After several days (nearly 1-week), Midwest tested our floors for moisture and determined the moisture level was still at 100%. After consulting with my insurance company, I instructed Midwest Remediation to remove their equipment, this was January 24th. Midwest Remediation also inspected for the cause of the water damage, and could not determine the cause.

On February 2, 2022, I received a phone call from Midwest Remediation for payment of the bill, which was $3922.39, I advised Midwest this was a claim we filed with our insurance company, I provided the name of the claims agent, contact number, and claim number. We were under the impression the insurance company was paying the claim, however, we learned in mid-March the insurance would not pay the claim until it could;d be determined what caused the flooding.

My wife and were taken aback, however, we earmarked the invoice for payment the last Saturday of March, the day we pay all bills. On friday, March 25th, we received notice that Midwest filed a lien on our home, no notice, no warning. We immediately paid the invoice. I would never deal with this company again! We have had claims previously with our insurance company, and vendors are always very accommodating in cooperating with the idiosyncrasies of dealing with insurance companies. NOT MIDWEST REMEDIATION!

We had water damage to a bathroom that destroyed everything under our waterproof vinyl floor. The damage was extensive underneath all the way thru the floor studs. Midwest did a fabulous job restoring all of it for us! Highly recommend this company.

They were extremely timely on coming out to check out the damage and give a quote for insurance. The issues started after when they said they couldn't even start my demo for 3 weeks and left me with no kitchen. A few days prior to the start date, I was told that the remodel wouldn't start for 6 months to a year after demo. That wasn't stated in our original conversation.

Once I pushed back and became extremely heated, they decided to back out the day they were supposed to be here, leaving me with no kitchen, yet again. Thankfully, another company came out the same day and has already started the demo job! Should have called them first, and I would be finished by now!

Critical: Professionalism Billed my insurance for thousands over what I was quoted. Basement still stinks after water was removed. Doors still removed, baseboards still off and damaged drywall. Now being told it's 4-5 months out to finish project. Scam artists. Can not encourage anyone to not use this company enough. Service: Water damage cleanup

We had them come out for an estimate and the guy wouldn't actually give me an estimate and just kept telling me to make a claim with my insurance. But my husband and I didn't want to do that just yet because depending on cost w we're going to pay out of pocket so our insurance wouldn't go up each month. So we nagged them about getting an estimate to us with actual cost of thing.

They put us off for like a week and every time we got in touch with them they basically told up we could always go somewhere else. I got the idea they're just in it for the money and they don't actually work with the customer.

DO NOT tell them that this is insurance work, they will rush in and get started quickly without communicating the cost, afterwards they will pad the bill like crazy. We had over $1k in COVID related charges. We were able to negotiate some of those charges off, but not all. Even with the COVID charges taken off it was still $1k more than our insurance adjuster estimated.

We were in a bad spot and a bit naive (should have pushed back on the "bill the insurance" paperwork and got solid numbers out of them), thought they were being helpful and quick, but we felt taken advantage of at the end of it.

Water damage part was handled professionally except for throwing out custom cabinet they said they'd save to rebuild. When crew came to restore bathroom and utility room they were clueless about cabinet as it was lost. They weren't helpful in choosing new cabinet to match space. Project manager very unresponsive. Then when toilet install had leaks etc it took 3 tries to fix with severe unresponsive again while toilet is more like a rocking chair. Still awaiting callback to fix 3rd time and again I'm at the end of day two with no response. Will never use again.

Waaaaaay overkill on the demo on my minor water damage. Came in tore the hell out of my home for which seems to be no other reason than to charge my insurance company more money. Broke the drain on my a/c system moving my washer/dryer, and then didn't realize that was the reason that the water wasn't actually drying. Some guy Austin was from what my wife said VERY rude to her when they came to pick up their equipment.

Then told me they were 8 weeks out on their construction crew. Didn't even offer to put me on the schedule. Basically said efff you, good luck. Thanks for leaving me with a bigger mess then I started with. I wish my insurance company never recommended me to these people.

Midwest Remediation was recommended to me by the plumber I had called regarding a smell we had coming from the crawlspace. From the initial phone call I made a week ago up to signing the work completion papers this morning, every single person I dealt with at this company was friendly, professional, and did what they said they were going to do. I will definitely use them again if the need arises.

Our company office experienced a sudden flood and I immediately called Midwest Remediation. I called them at the end of the work day and they were out here within 30 minutes. Since they got here so quickly they were able to stop the spread of the water which led to less of the office being damaged, timing is extremely important in water loss situations.

They took care of all the water clean up, carefully removed all carpet, mats, and equipment that were wet from the flood. They sanitized all materials and equipment and set them out to dry away from the flooded area. Austin, James, and Conner did an excellent job at being quick and thorough. They set up a containment and made sure to explain the whole process to us prior to do anything to the office area.

Communication and quality work was done on the project. Each day they came back to check progress and give us updates. After the water was cleaned up and the area was fully dried they put everything back and it looks as if nothing ever happened. We know if anything else like this were to happen, we will be calling Midwest Remediation.

Found items in scope of work that were not actually performed but still billed for. I personally think they tried to pad the bill. Ina addition, They removed carpet, pad etc. for remediation purposes. They billed for a much larger amount of material removed than actually was (I personally measured after the job was complete). I requested that. someone come to re-measure and they refused to do so.

Communication with this company is terrible. When I brought up concerns, I was just passed along to someone else to talk to. I spoke with about five different people. They claim they "try to call", and "left voicemails, " but when I finally emailed all of them at once, I was told to just pay the bill or their attorney would be contacting me. Absolute worst customer service and no attempt to address my concerns.

I had a leak somewhere on the second floor. The plumbing company asked if they could share my contact info with Midwest since there was resulting drywall damage. Here's the bottom line: they sell you on a great plan, but once they are in and set up you're at their mercy, and that's when they leave you hanging. They take forever so they can rack up unnecessary charges and they don't return calls.

Look somewhere else for your needs. The sales person came out quickly and sold us a line that sounded great. They had folks out Monday to begin. When they came to install the drying equipment I explained that there was moving parts and needed them to work on things that weren't effected by the water but were part of the job. They said no problem.

Then radio silence for days. Oh, and no one would tell me how much the work would cost. I was told that "it's complicated" but that my "insurance would handle it." Huh. Everyone who came (three different groups) diagnosed the problem differently. Throughout the process, explaining why things had to stay longer. They use lots of equipment and gadgets and pretend those things define the problem, so it seems technical and informed.

If that's so then why does the diagnosis keep changing? After a manager finally told me (through a customer service person) all the stuff that they wouldn't do (like put the washing machine back in place) I told them to take their equipment my and leave.

12/6/2019 service for sewage pipe leak under home in crawlspace. We repaired pipe and cleaned up liquid ourselves. This was for solid waste removal and antimicrobial application. Estimate received prior to job performed - given price range. Work completed at below average skill and told cost would be less than estimate given Received invoice for twice the estimate.

Difficulty contacting company and other than customer service representative who had no knowledge of job Asked for mitigation manager to contact us- never did although his name is on all invoices sent. Talked to Jenny and told would look into it and get back with us and never did. Threatening to send bill to collections Won't explain charges after reductions applied that still costs more than estimate.

Original invoice repeatedly sent with lowered cost but no changes occur on invoice to show what's actually being charged. Nobody will return calls or explain these fraudulent charges Will NEVER recommend or use again They were contracted out by ACME plumbing, beware!

Midwest remediation offered to inspect our home and fix issues in our crawl space after our son was diagnosed with cancer. They are a generous company and offered their services for free to help us out. They are honest people that can be trusted with your business!

I have a very mixed review of my experience with Midwest Remediation. Great communication and service for the damage repair. Terrible communication and follow up with the home office regarding payment. They came quickly and helped us dry out an under the kitchen sink water leak that damaged our cabinets on the main floor and the basement ceiling. and walls below it.

I liked the guy who came out and managed that process. The subcontractor they sent after everything was dry was very slow in getting us a bid and didn't sound like he was going to begin anytime soon. Two weeks later (now 3 weeks from the damage) I was still without a kitchen sink or dishwasher. Luckily I found a local guy to do.

Probably should have added that this work was done at my Business, and they have ignored all Correspondence from me in regards of a Warranty issue, plus the person that wrote a response, When I called they said he is NOT employed there. Confusing!

I would never recommend this company. Our items were boxed up and returned untouched. They were suppose to be cleaned for smoke. Again most boxed items were NEVER CLEANED.We had a hand written list of our items that was just hand written and very hard to read. Some items never came back. There are plenty of good companies that are honest and reliable that I have used in the past for a previous house flood. These guys are just scamming the insurance company. Use the Restoration company that you here on the radio. The one the Colts use!
