We provide high-quality maintenance services to elite residential homes and commercial businesses in New Castle County, Delaware, and Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Susan Markatos initially worked within the hospitality industry. In 1983, Susan founded Markatos Services. The company began as a small, local residential cleaning company based out of Wilmington, DE. As an independent cleaner, she quickly grew her customer base from 100% referrals. As customers raved about her amazing, quality service and attention to detail, Susan began her journey as a female business owner and entrepreneur. Daughter of Susan and Harry Markatos, Nichole Maisano, has been with the company from an early age.
Our regular janitorial contract includes a full cleaning of the facility and/or office space, dusting, vacuuming carpets, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, and refilling paper supplies, all of which can be customized to meet your specific needs. Markatos Services also offers a wide variety of paper products and supplies that are hand-delivered.
Markatos is not your typical maid service in Delaware. We provide the most thorough cleaning of your home compared to any company in the industry. Our teams use environmentally friendly cleaning supplies (upon request) to clean and remove fingerprints from phone receivers, light switch plates, and doorknobs to help stop the spread of germs.

Markatos makes me happier than a unicorn riding a dragon that shoots dollar bills from its mouth and leaves a trail of rainbows and hugs behind it. They attack dirt like a bear holding a shark holding a machine gun. I have only one regret in my relationship with this company, and that is that I did not sign up for their services sooner than I did. Note: This is an update to my previous 2 year old review, and yes still with Markatos because why would we go anywhere else with this level of quality service. April 2016 Update: Still using Markatos, still thrilled with the quality of service.
