The girls were nice and did a great job. I am very happy with them. The house was in bad shape and they made it feel clean.

Felicia did an amazing and thorough job. I would definitely recommend her. She cleaned inside the fridge and freezer, drawers, stairs, and windows, and made my bathroom look and feel brand new. Thank you Felicia!

Horrible experience! My apartment didn't look any cleaner than when I have time to do it myself, and the website doesn't allow you to put in specifics of what you want cleaned so you have to do all of that the day of. The website also doesn't have a form for you to fill out credit card information, so when the lady was done at my apartment the service called me with an attitude asking for my credit card information acting like I was trying to skip out on paying when that was not my intent! I've had better experiences with Handy and I've had two no shows with them, so that should tell you how bad this cleaning service really is!

I hadn't thoroughly cleaned our apartment since we moved in 6 months ago, and we were in need of some serious help. I don't do it well, there are just some things that I overlook and don't have time to do right. Ladies from Maid On Call were professional, punctual, and friendly. Worked wonders in our home. Gave special attention to the baseboards, fireplace, and inside our refrigerator as I had asked. Everything was spotless and I am very satisfied. Will use them again for sure.

RIPOFF. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. When I called to schedule the service, I told the manager that we had just moved in, and that we had a 2 BR / 2 BA, 1200 sf apartment. We agreed on $108. I was not there when the maid came - my husband was. He did not know of the arrangement. The maid was slow and did a mediocre job. When she was done, she called into HQ, then told my husband it would be $180 and demanded a $20 tip.

When I called the manager back, she said, "well, it's $108 for 3 hours. She was there for 41/2." We had agreed on a flat fee of $108 - it was not dependent on time. Moreover, the maid dawdled and was slow to run up the chages. The manager refused to adjust the charge. I am disputing it with my credit card company.

We needed a thorough cleaning of the apartment before putting it on the market. I was able to schedule the cleaning on pretty short notice, and the scheduler told me she was giving me one of her best people. The maid was punctual, pleasant, and very eager to please. She did the outside of the balcony doors/windows on her own initiative--I had been told that only the inside of windows would be done.

I did have to ask her to go over some things that were missed, but she was very willing. I asked for some extras, like silver-polishing, washing kitchen walls, and cleaning vent grilles, and again, she was very willing. She worked diligently for seven hours, no slacking.

I purchased a service from Living Social for such a good deal thinking what could really go wrong? Well, lots-- I wish I had read the reviews here prior because apparently it is a trend. I got an email reminder everyday and even a phone call prior to the Saturday 1pm appointment. Seemed buttoned up. I realized they gave a 1-3pm window - but the personal phone call I got from the manager the day before said they would be there at 1. 1:30 came and went.

I called the number on the website-- over the weekend its just an answering service so they cant really do anything. I said all i needed was a status, and she assured me someone would call asap. 2:45 still no show and no call back. I called again. Got the same answering service people saying there was nothing else they could do. I decided to call back the manager who confirmed the day before that she would be there by 1.

I called her, and she was like "oh yeah, no one can come see you today." WHAT! I was enraged that I had to call HER to just get an answer out of someone. what kind of service is that? If I had gotten any sort of status or even NOTICE I maybe would have rescheduled. but the fact that I had to call the random number that I happen to have in my cell phone back, was just ridiculous. she didnt quite get it, AND, she was annoyed at me for being annoyed.

She also said "you arent the only one this is happening to today" like that was supposed to make me feel better. She said she was going to have her manager call me. Not holding my breath for that call. There is no way I am letting these people in my apt. I just hope Living Social gives me my money back. I am even a bit disappointed in Living Social for doing business with such a joke of a company. STAY AWAY!

Apparently I'm not alone. I am reading all the other reviews and feeling like a total idiot for not doing this sooner. For the record, my complaints are the same as everybody elses. I booked for 2:30, they called to tell me they would be there at 4:30.by 5:30 she arrives with NO CLEANING SUPPLIES! She went to Duane Reade and bought comet and cleaning spray. Asked if I had paper towels.

Also got the same, "Do you have a bucket, mop and broom" question.um last time I checked, you should come with one? I just moved in and none of my furniture had arrived so my bucket/mop/broom supplies were extremely limited so no floors got done. I asked for the typical move-in special; cabinets, drawers, fridge, oven. She cleaned the outside of the stainless steel fridge and FORGOT TO CLEAN THE INSIDE.

I have no furniture.this is an empty apartment so one would think there was not that much to clean that she would over look the fridge but no. Feeling duped and disappointed. Should have just called someone randomly off Craigslist.

Wow it looks like I'm not alone in thinking that this place provided terrible service. My complaint isn't really with the cleaning, but rather with the fact that the woman whom I booked through told me that the price would be $126 dollars; it ended up being much more since the cleaner stayed late, and also since she charged tax on my credit card.

I was only told after the fact that there was an overtime surcharge and that tax would be included only if I paid by credit card, not if I paid by cash. When I called to ask her about this, she was beyond beyond snotty and condescending. I feel like I got duped. My advice is, if for some reason you DO decide to use this service, make VERY sure that you confirm up front what you will be paying in the end!

I can't comment on the cleaning because they never showed up 3 times! The first time they just lost the appointment. The 2nd time they were going to send a male even though a female was requested. Today I had an appointment for 10:00 am and they were a no show. I called at 10:15 am and was told she was lost, again at 11:00 am still lost. At 11:15 I called again and a VERY rude and nasty woman said "look lady she's on her way, do you want her there or not" I said NO cancel and hung up. Don't waste your time or money with this company. I am very glad I didn't take the chance of having them clean!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! If I could give less stars, I would. This is the worst cleaning service I have ever come across and would strongly recommend that you take your business elsewhere. The cleaner was late (no apologies), she was stupid to the point of comedy (she didnt want to close the dishwasher door because she didnt know how to/ wasnt sure how to put a sheet on the bed -- I had to help/ claimed to have dusted everywhere only to 'show' me by running her finger over a desk that was dusty.) I called to complain 3 times, still waiting for a response. This is a shoddy company, with shoddy employees. I can't believe they're still in business.

We called their parent company to pick up some construction debris. They confirmed their published rates on the phone. They tried to hold us up for twice as much money when they came. Contractor took the stuff to the dump in his van. It cost $110. Royal cleaning wanted $800. Be very afraid. Then, despite performing no service, they billed my amex using Maid on Call as the payee. These are bad and dishonest people who desire to harm you.

Where do I even start. I called on Wednesday to schedule an appointment for the upcoming Saturday. I thought everything was confirmed and ready; she even took my credit card information. The appointed woman would be arriving at my home at 12PM, as promised. I should've sensed something was wrong when she asked me how to get to my home using public transportation and also that I would have to provide a mop and bucket since "mops and buckets do not travel well on public transportation." On Saturday, at 12:45, I called the main line and the woman who answered told me that there was no record of an appointment being booked.

Mind you, my husband and I woke up early just to get some chores done so that we could be home for the 3 hours without worrying about anything. The customer service rep was very apologetic; this was probably the best service we had gotten throughout my whole interaction with this company. She promised to call me later that night (which she did) to confirm who would be coming the next day at 11AM.

Around 11:30, I called them again and the same girl said that the woman had left her home awhile ago and should be there any minute. 5 minutes later, the woman called me and said that she was a good 20 minutes away from where I lived; whoever told her how to get to my home had given her the wrong directions. My husband and I got into the car, and yep, we went to pick her up.

She got into our car and seemed annoyed that she was on a job and couldn't find our place and wasn't at all apologetic about making us wait or making us pick her up. We got home, and I showed her what needed cleaning and with sighing and exasperation, she got to work. I had booked her for 3 hours, but she took only 2 hours and I found out later why. Yes, she did a good job on the stove, which was my biggest headache.

It was greasy and dingy from all the cooking we do at home and had built up a good layer of grease. However, I noticed that she also did not clean 100% -- she only cleaned visible dirt. So yes, the knob was cleaned, but not the the whole way around. The top of the stove was cleaned, but not the side. Most of the countertops were cleaned but not the extremely greasy one by the stove.

The floors were cleaned but not the areas that were covered with items. When she was done, she was in a big hurry to leave. My husband insisted that we tip her, even though I felt like she absolutely did not deserve the tip. When she left, I quickly called the company to ensure that I would not be charged the 3 hours that I had originally wanted since she left exactly after 2 hours. Noted on their website, the company states that you would get an e-mail with the name and picture if your maid for security purposes.

Nothing of this sort was sent to me. In fact, the first woman that I had originally booked with was reluctant to even give me a name and answered with a, "It should be either Janet or Christine" in a I-don't-really-care sort of attitude. I think next time, I will go with a "bigger" name.

If I could give them zero stars I would. We hired a maid and paid in cash for a pre move in clean. She came late and tried to leave early. I honestly don't even know what she cleaned, because it was dirtier when she left. We were also charged over $300 to our credit card and it has been impossible to get a refund, complete fraud.

TERRIBLE SERVICE, CHARGED TWICE, REFUSED REFUND. The appointment was for 2:30 pm on Saturday. I waited for ~3 hours and made 5+ calls before getting it rescheduled for the following day. The next day the maid showed up 1 hr late. She used so much cleaning supplies that I thought I'd pass out. I paid her in cash, then I found out that they charged my credit card (so they charged me twice).

I called them 10+ times but they avoided me for several weeks, then finally my credit card company charged them back (this company ignored my credit card company too). SO IF YOU WANT A TERRIBLE SERVICE AND WANT THEM TO STEAL FROM YOU, USE THESE PEOPLE. They also operate under Royal Cleaning Services.

We needed our apartment cleaned after returning after a subletter. Maid on Call was the first to answer our phone call and were very professional on the phone. However, the maid who came was not good. She only stayed for two of the three hours we had pre-paid, and I had to follow her around asking her to redo things she had missed or inadequately cleaned.

I admit that I have high standards, but in my mind, I hire a cleaning service in order to do the kind of careful job I don't have the patience for myself. When I called to complain afterwards, the person told me that they had fired that maid. However, they offered me no compensation. To me, if they know a maid is poor enough to fire her AND someone complains, that person should at least receive a discount. Very poor service.
