Maid in the Northwest is a local woman-owned house cleaning firm serving Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, Everett and all surrounding cities in King, Pierce and Snohomish Counties since 1987. We do move-in and move-out, one-time and regular domestic and tiny office cleaning. We send the same cleaner or staff of two in each time for regular home and tiny office cleaning.

David and the cleaning team at Maid in the Northwest are exceptional! David was great at working with us to help determine what tasks were most important for our business as well as being aware of how long the tasks would take and make sure his team could work with our budget. He worked especially hard to find a cleaning product that wouldn't leave streaks on our new floor and wouldn't leave a vinegar scent afterwards.

If there was ever an issue, David either called me first or was immediately responsive to my message. I would highly recommend Maid in the Northwest for their excellent work and how pleasant they are to work with.

Maids in the Northwest are a wonderfully scrappy thorough local business in the Lake City neighborhood of Seattle. Judy was the cleaner and Dave Wilson was the principal that coordinated everything. Judy was detailed, thorough, and went beyond my definition of cleanliness. Dave answered all of my questions and asked just as many, which is rare in the Seattle modern business culture.

He was transparent, honest, kind, patient, and directly communicative about what can be accomplished in a hard-stop of a four hour deep cleaning; which were my parameters. There is an old-school vibe about Maids in the Northwest where the most important thing is to do a job well done. The system is simple: you call, Dave asks what you want, he tells you the price, they schedule a time, they email you a checklist, cleaner arrives with you there or not, and done. It's refreshing not to have to make an account and to be overwhelmed with too many options. Support this local business.

I have been using MINW for move-in/move-out cleans for years now and they do an incredible job. They are very thorough and can really turn a place around, taking something that leaves you thinking you'll have to replace it and getting it looking like new. For example, they can get a shower, that looks like there aren't strong enough chemicals in the world to clean it, looking new using only natural cleaning products. Additionally, they were very responsive in handling a recent larger-than-expected cleaning, where the unit was left in worse shape than anticipated and that exceeded the allocated cleaning time.

Running out of time on the first cleaning round, the owner jumped in on very short notice to clean in the rest of the way a couple days later and put in a tremendous amount of detailed cleaning. Lots of confidence when I schedule with MINW.

We've used Maid in the Northwest for several years. We've had several good cleaners from them. Our current cleaner, Paige, is aces! She's fast, efficient, and she always leaves the house sparkling. We recommend her as a house cleaner. (Alas, due to us being high-risk, we've had to put a hold on housecleaning--I hope temporarily--but when we are out of lockdown, I'm planning on seeing if Paige is once again available.)

I have a beautiful story to share with all of you. Dave is one of the nicest and compassionate people that I have met. I have been very ill and had neglected my home greatly. The hospitial gave me his number and I called and after some current problems with my home he came! He is one of the nicest and efficient people that you can ask for. Him and his partner cleaned my living room and both made laugh and I was so comfortable in their presence it was a pure joy.

Now in the aftermath of their visit i am so relaxed and taking in the cleanliness and ease of heart which allows me to rest and get well and nap without a conscience of regret. So thank you Dave you made my day and my upcoming cleaning appointments a sure thing. I can highly recommend them for any pending job that you have on your list. SO do it and make your day!

I love this company. They are friendly, reliable and not too expensive. My cleaner Kim is amazing and always does a fantastic job. My house is safe and clean in their hands!

Paige was awesome! She is flexible and great with our big (kind of scary) dog! The house was cleaned really well, even things we didn't ask her to do! It she took her time and did a great job! Highly recommend this place!

This review is overdue, I would give ZERO stars if I could. 2 cleaning people came to our house, we had just moved back into our house after renting it out for 13 yrs. so the house was pretty empty. They were late, made us feel uncomfortable and did THE WORST job. The woman did a half ass job. This was supposed to be a move out clean and when I asked them to clean behind the stove and fridge the man went to answer and she elbowed him and she answered 'we can't do that if the appliances are too heavy'.

I did it myself last week b/c it was filthy and managed just fine. I'm still cleaning ceilings, window sills, base boards, door frames, window frames, you name it. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT HIRE THIS BUSINESS.

This is not a good cleaning service. We tried two cleaners and both were very ineffective. The first cleaner was very pleasant, but a very poor cleaner. She skipped sections of the house and would not clean behind anything (even lightweight lamps). The second cleaner arrived late both times, did a below average job, made me feel pretty uncomfortable, and left an hour early the second time she was here. I called and said we would like to try one last cleaner and four days later have not heard back.

We used this service for several months before giving up on the cleaner assigned us ever showing up when scheduled. The company uses independent contractors and the cleaner we had was obviously doing it as a 2nd job. When our scheduled time didn't interfere with her first job, she would do a thorough job.on the areas she chose to clean, usually leaving before the scheduled 2 hours. The positives are the competitive prices and that we were only ever charged for time worked.

Wonderful staff. Great cleaners. Easy scheduling. And an ability to match to right cleaner to their client. We'd used other agencies in the area and had never been 100% happy with the cleaning. Not with Maid In The Northwest - our home is clean, dust-free, and smells great (and we've two pets).

I've used Maid in the Northwest several times to clean my home and rental property. They've always done a great job, and the only time we had a minor issue they took care of it immediately. Highly recommend!

They were so great and convienient. Used them when we moved out of a rental home. We have a dog and our rental was pretty dirty when we finally moved out. They cleaned the whole house in a couple hours and made it look like new! We got our full deposit back! Very affordable when I did research around Seattle.

I hired this company sight unseen for my son who lives in Seattle. He said the cleaner arrived promptly and did a wonderful job. That is a huge compliment coming from him, who is not exactly the neatest person in the world. They worked with our schedule, and the day that we needed (right before Christmas). We were very pleased

I was away on a 3-week vacation and my husband hired Maid in the Northwest to clean the house before I came home. I was kind of dreading seeing the house--my husband is a lousy housekeeper and we have 2 big dogs--after my 3 week vacation. I opened the door and the living room looked remarkably clean. I quickly figured out that this was not my husband's work--everything looked great.

The toilets and bathtubs were cleaner than I ever get them. The microwave and stainless steel sink were cleaner than I ever get them. I would definitely use this service again!

All I can say is wow. Carmen and Jason just left our new home after a move-in cleaning and they did a fantastic job. We just completed a lengthy remodel and there was dust *Everywhere*. On walls, windows, floors, you name it. And the basement.don't get me started. Well, that didn't stop this dynamic duo. They made it all spic and span, to the point where I can comfortably walk around in socks without worrying about my socks getting dirty, or grinding dirt into our freshly refinished hardwoods. Well done! I can't wait for them to do the move-out cleaning of our rental property in a couple weeks!

10/10 cleaning and super satisfied with the service. Carmen and Jason were great, they cleaned everything and focused on the areas I was concerned about the most. Everything was done in the time that was estimated. We needed a deep cleaning for a house that was rented out by nine college students. It was in disastrous shape but Carmen and Jason made it look perfect. Ask for them!

This is an edit to a review I posted over the weekend involving a cleaner who turned a four-hour cleaning into a seven-hour cleaning. She stalled, was non-responsive to my direction to pick up the speed and order of cleaning (she left a bathroom until the end, so that I had no choice but to have her finish, for example), and was generally passive-aggressive in her manner.

I was most upset, but wanted to give the company a chance to respond. Fortunately, the owner called me first thing on Monday, immediately apologized, comped the cleaning, and offered to have someone come and re clean. The owner also took steps to ensure that the individual will "not be in a position" to treat their customers in this manner again. I understand from running a business myself that sometimes employees don't operate in the manner we expect.

The key to good business is how we respond and ensure that our customers are satisfied with service or product. So bottom line, I highly recommend this company, as standing by their service and offering quality work. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

This was my first time paying for a maid service. The original quote for a 4 bedroom house was for a total of 5 hours for the whole house. The cleaner took 3 hours to clean just the kitchen and 2 bathrooms. His speed was extremely slow. Our home was not that dirty to begin with. Given the speed he was cleaning, he would not have finished cleaning the entire home even if we gave him 12 hours.

Good thing I capped it at 3 hours. When I brought up this issue with the main office, they offered to send out a different cleaner next time. Um. no thanks.why would I want to spend more money if you can't guarantee results and you don't take responsibility for the poor service? The positive was that the cleaner did a good job on areas he did clean. *Update Very suspect, that someone would post a 5 star review right after I posted my review after 2 years of inactivity.

I recently had Maid in the Northwest clean my house for my wife's birthday. We had recently bought the house, and the previous owner didn't do a good job cleaning, so my wife wanted a deep clean to make it feel like we were not living in someone else's filth. We also had family coming into town so it seemed like a great time to have it done.

The cleaner came on a Thursday and didn't complete all the work that I had requested. I expressed my concern to them, and they went above and beyond to make things right, including sending another cleaner on short noticed to rectify the issue. I was very impressed with the level of concern showed by them, and the lengths they went to ensure that I was happy.

Not every business is going to knock it out of the park every time, but a business's commitment to customer service really shows when something doesn't run smoothly. I would definitely recommend Maid in the Northwest to friends, and would use them again in the future.

Wonderful job! We have tried other cleaning services in the area and keep coming back to Maid in the Northwest. Very thorough cleaning and left the house in great condition! Would highly recommend.

I have never used a house (or in my case, a creek side condo) cleaning service before. But after coming home exhausted one day from working with one of my clients that I setup, review, trouble shoot, or train one-on-one in QuickBooks for their business and Quicken for their personal finances, I realized as a busy professional that I needed to delegate tasks that needed to be done but I didn't have the motivation to do well or the time to do so.

And quite frankly, I don't like to clean. Does anyone? I found it ironic that I was in this situation as I am frequently reminding my clients about the need to outsource their business tasks to others. One reason I picked them was because they partner with Cleaning for a Reason which offers free cleanings on a space available basis for women with cancer.

Since my cousin and one of my friends had Leukemia and mentioned how tired they were from the chemotherapy, I thought this was a nice way to give back to the community. The Seattle office of Maid in the Northwest House Cleaning sent Amy the next week and e-mailed me a contract and list to give to her with instructions to check off the top ten essential tasks.

I liked that list as it allowed me to focus in on what I felt was important. Amy called the day before to remind me in a friendly tone of voice about our appointment and showed up on time the next morning. She worked quietly while she was here and asked questions when she wasn't sure what I meant on the list. She also complimented me on how well organized my space was.

At the end, I could immediately smell and see the difference between what my bathrooms, kitchen, rugs, carpet, and cabinets looked like before and after. And the work was done in the time frame allocated. I have since requested her as a cleaner several times. Several months later, I realized that I needed another cleaning as my condo board was coming over for a meeting and I could see and smell the need.

That time, the company sent Bill who e-mailed me confirmation which I liked as I was in the field and could see it appear on my Smartphone. Again, he showed up, asked for the list and proceeded to get to work. At the end of three hours of the four allocated, he mentioned that he was done (and again, I could smell it) and suggested dusting some knick nacks that I had in several bookcases for the remaining hour.

I hadn't picked dusting a priority this time but I am glad he noticed that the dust levels were now at a point that something needed to be done. Needless to say, I look forward to my monthly or every other month cleanings.

This was the first house cleaning service i've ever hired, but i was super impressed! needed a last minute cleaning for an apartment upon moving out and they came out last minute and cleaned the apartment better than i thought possible. we were even out of town, so we had to just leave a key under the mat and hope for the best! they took care of everything and i was most appreciative!

The owner attempted to contact me via yelp about my poor review which makes me feel better about their concern for customers. We must have gotten a bad lady that day but we definitely did not get what we paid for. My roommates card was charged before the job was done and we complained and received zero help. We ended up having to clean the entire apartment ourselves for a move out and almost lost part of our deposit as a result.

I'm giving them two stars for effort. They're expensive but they try hard. One person comes initially to review the house and get a good description of cleaning habits and desires. They write up a "plan" and assign cleaners to you. My cleaners didn't speak English and I don't speak Spanish -- so they never understood when I needed something different to happen or change the schedule etc. Plus, the cleaners were terrified of my dogs (Spaniels) and so it was hard to help them feel comfortable in my house. More attention to the details of the cleaning would be good. If only then knew that's what I was trying to say.
