DO NOT GO HERE! Bunch of scammers. After I checked out and left, they decided to charge my card again without informing me. They thought around $300 was appropriate to get two pairs of pants tapered. Take your business elsewhere. They think people are stupid. Should've realized when they originally charged me $125 that their goal is to scam people.

This company used to be well-known in NYC for providing topnotch cleaning and alterations in a reliable timeframe. Unfortunately, they're now reliable only for failing to meet basic expectations. I brought my wedding dress to them for cleaning and preservation in a small box ONE YEAR ago (6/2021). Estimated time to completion was 6 weeks. After endless phone calls to follow-up (at each call I was told "expect it in one more week"), I received my dress in an enormous "XL" preservation box today (6/2022).

For the first few months I was willing to accept "COVID-related logistical issues" as an excuse. But as an esteemed cleaner and tailor, you're telling me you couldn't find another box before a YEAR passed? The only reason I got it today is because I told them I'm moving next week and absolutely would not wait any longer. You'll need to take a part-time job harassing these people to get anything close to what they promise. Wouldn't ever waste my time or money again.

Emy and Owen were great in getting my dress altered on very short notice before our wedding. They even did a second dress for me in that time. Thank you!

I would absolutely recommend Madame Paulette. I had my wedding dress altered there and was very impressed with their services. Every time I went for a fitting, the team (Emy and Owen) went above and beyond and I am so grateful - they made my dress the one I always wanted! Service: Alterations

Madame Paulette is unrecognizable since the sale to By Next, except for the continuing high prices. They picked up my draperies for cleaning seven weeks ago and managed to charge my credit card a month ago (naturally), but I cannot get a hold of anyone there regarding the status of the cleaning job. They don't pick up their phone, don't send emails, and don't return calls when you leave a voicemail.

In the prior life of Madame Paulette, people answered the phone and returned calls. If By Next thinks they can keep the high prices, move to West 57th Street, and operate on a "we will charge your credit card but won't do anything else" model, they are wrong. They have already lost a lot of clients and I predict they will be out of business by the end of 2022.

I dropped off $17,000 worth of garments on 10/27 for preservation. I was told they would be ready in 8 weeks. After that time had passed I reached out about my items being delivered. I have been contacting the business weekly by phone text and email with no response. At the end of January, I finally got a response telling me I could expect my garments back in February. I have contacted them multiple times during business hours and again, have received no response.

Ruined my Hermes scarf, said it was fine, and lied they work with Hermes and that they contacted Hermes to consult I have been using Madame Paulette for several months when things went to the gutter. I had a silk scarf from Hermes to be cleaned and anyone with an Hermes scarf knows the edges have to be done in a certain way (completely rolled). I asked several times if they knew how to do Hermes scarves, specifically the edges, and the manager Andrew and the girl at the counter (wears glasses) replied repeatedly that they know how to do them.

When I got the scarf there were delivery issues, but what was horrifying was that the edges were completely ruined. They were flat and the stiches were totally off. I went and asked for a refund since they clearly do not know how to do Hermes scarves, and they said they do know since Hermes comes to them and the tailor would fix it. I begrudgingly agreed since that was their "policy" before a refund.

They told me it would take a week but when I came to pick it up, it was not ready. I had to wait another week and the scarf was STILL A MESS. The edges were horribly flat and skewed all over. The girl at the counter said it looked fine to her, that they did consult with Hermes, and she would ask the customer service manager to talk with me but since they cleaned it and did it properly and "did not ruin it" they could not promise anything.

I promptly went to Hermes and they said THE STICHING WAS DONE COMPLETELY WRONG AND IT WAS RUINED, THEY DO NOT WORK WITH MADAME PAULETTE NOR EVER CONSULT THEM, and that FOR ANY CHANCES FOR ME TO REVIVE THE SCARF I WOULD HAVE TO SEND IT TO PARIS AND PAY FOR REPAIRS. This is so, so crazy that Madame Paulette kept lying about everything. The Hermes representative basically said since the stiching has been ruined they are not sure if they can repair it, and the best option for any possibility of salvaging the scarf is for me to wait 5 months for it to be shipped to Paris and back, where it can be dealt with by their professionals.

All this because Madame Paulette repeatedly lied to me and damaged my scarf. Avoid this establishment like the plague, I do not understand how they can lie continuously, call themselves a luxury drycleaner, and charge $75 to ruin a scarf they have no idea how to deal with. And I had been a repeat customer! Terrible unprofessional service all ways around. Pictures show what becomes of an Hermes scarf if you leave it in their hands.

The Hermes representative said to repair it they would have to completely undo the stiching and roll it again. He recommended I take these pictures to show how the scarf has been damaged. The texts are with Andrew and you can see the claims he makes which are basically a lie. I will be taking them to small claims court for a refund of the many damages that now I have to pay for. NEVER USE MADAME PAULETTE!

Really Disappointing. Very high price. I have been quoted 4 different prices. The dry cleaning work is not even perfect. Not professional. Customer service does not exist. Customers are treated poorly. Phone calls or emails are not returned. Even during Covid 19 there is a way to make customers feel valued. I do not recommend. Covid 19 does not compensate for rudeness. Covid 19 is not a license to be disrespectful. Customers are revenues contributors they are doing something positive for companies.

My experience at Madame Paulette exceeded my expectations! As background, I bought a very tight fitting size 2 Berta dress off the rack and was nervous the tailor would be unable to let it out as the fabric was very delicate and intricate. On top of that, I got pregnant 2 months before the wedding and my body was expanding every week. Also, since we rescheduled my wedding twice due to COVID, the dress had 2 snags in it because it had been sitting in my closet for 2 years. Anyway, somehow Owen (a gentle, responsive and genius tailor / artist) and Imene (a kind, understanding, beautiful human) made my dress fit my body perfectly.

They both made me feel so comfortable and welcomed my feedback. By some miracle, Owen somehow added probably 12 inches of fabric in the bust, shaped the dress perfectly around my bump and placed a flower over the snag. Many of my guests at the wedding said it was the most beautiful dresses they ever seen. If that wasn't enough, last year I needed my dress for an engagement shoot (long story) and ordered delivery.

The poor delivery guy's car broke down on the highway to Brooklyn. Since I needed the dress the next morning at 9am, the Client Relations Manager Karen sent another car right away and the dress was delivered that night. I couldn't believe the lengths they went for me. My only complaint is it was pricy however the peace of mind made it totally worth it. If you go here, I'd recommend booking all the fittings way in advance as they have tons of brides and clients, and book up quick.

Madame Paulette is amazing! I had my wedding dress altered and it was absolutely perfect and beautiful for my dream day. A BIG thank you to Omar and Barbara for their professionalism and care with my wedding dress. Omar was amazing and paid great attention to detail when making final alterations to my wedding dress. Barbara was wonderful to work with and made the entire process smooth and easy, which is what every bride should experience when it comes to customizing their wedding dress! Thank you again, Madame Paulette.
