Sherry provides an excellent service and I'm so happy with our business relationship. I have numerous vacation homes in Santa Cruz and have used Santa Cruz Cleaning for several years. It has been my pleasure to work with Sherry and her team for going over 2 years now. She has been responsible for all the turn over cleanings at my airbnb/ short term rental properties ( 3 at once during part of the year). She is very punctual, reliable and overall a pleasure to work with. I have multiple short term properties (some in other areas) and it is always difficult to find great cleaning services.
Many cleaners begin very strong/ reliable and then over time get lax. That has not been my experience with Sherry.if there is ever an issue or question she addresses it right away and completely. I have recommended Sherry to many friends and colleagues and am happy to continue to.

I rarely leave negative reviews on Yelp, however, I feel like a review is necessary in order to help other consumers looking to hire Sherry's company. I do not recommend this cleaning company. Sherry, the owner, misquoted pricing on our phone call and also added 2.5 hours excessively to the job. On our initial phone call, Sherry told me it would be $35/hr and that might take around 5-6 hours and would be sending 2 girls out that day.
Regarding the time, this was a guesstimate on the phone, so I was prepared for the hours to vary upon arrival. Sherry did text me earlier that morning to confirm the cleaning time and stated she will have 2 girls show up at 3. Great. The first girl showed up promptly, while the other was late due to Sherry not giving her the correct address information that I had provided her.
When I was notified they were just about finished, I was shocked when the cleaning girls quoted me 7.5 hours. (they had been there 3.5hrs) The girl stated it was actually $35/hr PER GIRL. This was not what Sherry said on our call, or I would have never gone with their service. I reached out to Sherry afterwards to explain my frustration. She insisted she arrived at the home and inspected and said "You also stated that the place would be cleaned before their arrival, that was not the case.
I went to the place myself and saw the condition that it was in, it definitely had not been cleaned." Side note: Why in the world would anyone book a cleaning company when the house was already cleaned? On the call I mentioned the previous tenants would leave the house empty. As you can see, this was no where near how badly she was trying to make it seem.
The logic on her behalf is astounding. I do not like leaving negative reviews, but I don't like being taken advantage of either. Paying an additional $150 more than quoted is not what I'd consider good business.

I have been using Sherry's housecleaning services for my house for over a year, and I could not be more satisfied. The service is high quality and I fully trust my home to Sherry and her cleaners. I also love that I don't have to worry about straightening up before my scheduled cleaning; they organize in addition to clean! I have a 3 year old boy, so there is often a lot to straighten up. The peace of mind I feel when entering my home after a cleaning session is well worth the reasonable rate. I highly recommend this company.
