Wall to wall carpets should be cleaned on a regular basis (vacuumed at minimum of once a week). It is also recommended by the industry leaders (Shaw industries and the IRC) to have a professional steam clean every 6 to 18 months. Doing this will assure your carpet maintains its beauty and value for many more long years.
Steam cleaning is the method recommended by industry leaders (Shaw Industries, and the CRC). High-pressure steam is sprayed on the carpet fibers and then sucked up by a special water vacuum. This assures a deep and effective clean. Although you can rent steam cleaning machines, and try and do the job yourself, this is not recommended.

After the rug cleaner I was using beforehand passed away suddenly, I went on a search for a new rug cleaning service, and for awhile this seemed endless. But eventually I found these folks and the rest is history. They did exactly what I needed and more, and after their first service I knew they'd be my go-to cleaners moving forward. This was all back in 2020. Should've written this a long time ago. I only am now because my friend, who's also a frequent NY Carpet customer, reminded me to do so.

These folks did such an outstanding job cleaning rugs at my office, I decided to have them clean the rugs in my home too. I got this amazing rug in Iran, and it's been in my living room for about three years now. It gets compliments nearly every time I have guests over, and it's always in great condition because I get routine rug cleaning from this service. Hiring this service is money well spent. Moreover, with this service doing rug cleaning for me, I'm positive that my rug will last for multiple decades.

The wine stain that was once diminishing the visual appeal of my living room area rug is gone, and it's only gone because NYC Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning removed it for me. I tried to remove the stain on my own, but I barely made a dent in it. When NYC Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning came over to remove the stain, it only took them 15 minutes to get the stain out. I like to think I loosened the stain for them!

The silk rugs that are in my parlor are from Shanghai, and I would be devastated if they got destroyed. NYC Carpet's technicians understand this and that's why they clean my rugs carefully every time I hire them. I'm glad they are true professionals. NYC Carpet is much better than the service I was using before. It's a miracle that the other service didn't damage my silk rugs.

I was going to use NYC Carpet or another service, but I decided on NYC Carpet because their price was lower. While low price is usually associated with low-quality work, that's definitely not what I got. They thoroughly cleaned my wool rug, and they even provided rug maintenance tips I'd never heard before so I don't need cleaning as often. Clearly they care about their customers, and I'll never forget this. They're on speed dial at this point and for good reason.
