If I could rate this company a zero or a negative number I absolutely would. We just had our chimney cleaned out by a man named Joe. He was very talkative and seemed friendly, but he failed to mention that he had cracked the bottom of our fireplace box. I cleaned the fireplace box out before Joe was scheduled to be here, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it.
I spent 20 minutes looking at the fireplace box and there was absolutely not a crack in it. After he left we went to look at the work that he had done, and noticed a long, deep crack down the center of the fireplace box from front to back. We called the company and spoke with a woman who told us that she would have somebody come out to fix our fireplace for us and asked me to take pictures and send them so he would have the proper materials.
Shortly after I sent the pictures I received a call from Lyle, the owner of the company, who was extremely rude and basically called me a liar telling me that there was no way that they could have done the damage. It was clear after arguing back-and-forth with him for seven minutes that he had no intention of resolving the issue. He basically told me that it was not a problem and there was nothing that he could do to fix it, nor would he fix it because he didn't believe that his employee had broken it.
When I told Lyle that the woman that answered the phone told us that she would have somebody come fix our fireplace, Lyle told me that she's just a secretary that answers the phone and she doesn't know anything. I will never use the service again, I was so disappointed at the rudeness, lack of respect and lack of professionalism that I experienced during the seven minute phone call from Lyle, the owner of the company no less. Great service! Having just moved in, I had no idea what model log burner or in what state the chimney was, Mark was great, I sent him pictures and asked to have the glass fixed too. My fire looks brand new now! He gave me lots of advice too, very welcome as I am a fire novice. Great service and at a great price too!

Wow, wish I would have looked here before hiring this company. We have a pellet stove. Long story short, he didn't know how to service it properly and was "afraid to turn it on because he thought it might be istalled incorrectly" but he still charged me the full amount for cleaning and maintenance. I then called a reputable company to come and inspect the stove to make sure it was o.k. to use.
They spent 3 hours PROPERLY instpecting and cleaning the stove and assured me that it was indeed installed properly. It was clear that Chim Chimney simply didnt know what they were doing. I called Chim Chimney to discuss the matter and not only was he incredibly rude, he hung up on me. I called him back and he told me that he wanted to come back to my house to inspect the work of the other company and to "learn how they were able to get the stove out" (its an insert and I explained to him on the phone how they did it).
I told him if he wanted to know how to do it perhaps he should look up the owners manual online to learn or perhaps contact the reputable company and have them educate him. We discussed a refund, and he said he would put a check in the mail but suprise suprise he never did. Completely incompetent and rude. Do not hire!

Their website claims that they can service gas stoves. The owner led me to believe they would be able to clean and service an antique gas stove. Today I got a phone call that they tested the gas, and there is a big leak. That's it. I was given no more information about what exactly needs to be repaired, and told me that I would not be able to find any parts for it anyway.
I guess this guy has never used the internet, and has no imagination what so ever. I think they just expect me to throw this old stove into the trash. This was annoying especially since I was led to believe that could actually service the appliance. They also charged me a $59 fee, even though I paid them to clean the chimney in the same apartment.
Perhaps that is a fair price to check the gas on a stove, I actually don't know. But the service person, perhaps the owner, was not particulary friendly, and the person doing the billing could not answer my questions about the charge clearly or directly.
