After getting a couple of estimates for blind cleaning services from local businesses, I can share that my decision to trust in "Blind Magic" blind cleaning services and repairs, was the right selection. Apparently, the numbers of businesses performing these services locally has drastically reduced since 2020. Nevertheless, because of their ability to answer very key questions (turnaround time, cleaning processes, years in this profession, flexibility of scheduling, etc.), and the knowledge of the technicians and customer service reps, it was absolutely clear that I could trust my blinds with Blind Magic!

Of course the decision also includes the fairest and best price for this service. You will find that if you ask the right questions (make them difficult!), you will find that the other company's estimator may not be equipped to answer questions to your comfort or satisfaction of their comprehension of their company's cleaning processes. Additionally, I was given completion dates to be 2-3 weeks after they would take my blinds.

Too long for having sheets on your windows, right? I will be having Magic Blind return for the remaining number of blinds, as their finished products made my blinds look very close to new. Good Job Antonio and good luck on your future, and thank you Wulan on your patience to explain in detail, my questions and point out other items that needed correcting, and definitely Thank you Jennifer for your understanding in changes of scheduling and for providing such a comprehensive explanation of the cleaning and service processes, and in providing me comfort of knowing that my blinds would be cared for and returned on the same day that they were picked up. Our 22 year old Hunter Douglas window coverings were long overdue for repair and cleaning. I used Blind Magic the 1st time around 10 years ago and they did a great job. Unfortunately the local franchise closed when I checked back a few years ago. I recently needed some repairs done and found a Blind Magic franchisee was back in business. Jennifer was quick to text me back and make arrangements for cleaning and repairs. Ulan and Antonio picked up 9 window coverings, both blinds and drapes, by mid morning and they were returned looking almost brand new by late afternoon. They were efficient and careful when removing and replacing the window coverings. I couldn't be happier and highly recommend their services.

This company is fabulous! I wish I had found them sooner. I was preparing to replace all my blinds because I couldn't find anyone to just repair and clean them. Finally someone recommended Blind Magic. I called that day and they came out within 2 days. Within a few hours the technicians repaired 4 blinds and cleaned all 9 on site in their truck. The 2 techs were very polite, professional and thorough.

The person I first spoke to was also very helpful and knowledgeable. I couldn't be happier with the service! I will definitely keep their number on file and highly recommend to anyone. Great customer service all the way around! Thank you for saving me quite a bit of money!

The service was sufficient; however, the technician biases were a little annoying. He didn't believe that I owned the house he thought I was a renter, he didn't believe my name was Robin the contact person for the project ( If I was able to pay for the repairs)Although, we have gone over all of the shutters he was going to be repaired. He hadn't finished one of the repairs. I had to stop him before he left. But I believe all of these issues were because I was a black American.

They quickly, professionally, and reasonably repaired and cleaned a 6 year old Duette shade, replacing 4 strings. Two day turnaround. Couldn't be more pleased. A recommended vendor.

The technician knew what he was doing, even with our nearly 20 year old blinds. Then taught us how to better care for them in the future. Not inexpensive, but worth it. We were quite pleased with the service.

Just had our 2 inch blade drop down blind restrung (2 strings) and our Hunter Douglas Duette blind fixed by replacing ultraglide motor. Dropped them off and they were done the next day and ready for pickup earlier than estimated. I'm super happy. Ninety dollars total seemed very fair to me. I have used Blind Magic before and have always found them easy to work with. Luckily husband was able to remove both blinds from windows with a little help from u-tube.

Blind Magic also is able to come to your home to repair blinds if possible or take them back to the shop. The $130 charge for that seemed high to me but I know everything is going up. (Maybe a senior discount for that service would be nice.) I highly recommend this business.

Would have given them five stars if they'd charged us the price they quoted. Quick, responsive, efficient, courteous. Also dishonest. We were quoted $85 for the service call plus $2.50 for each valance clip and whatever the cleaning cost would be, which was quoted as either $22 or $27 per window blind depending on the size of the window. We decided not to have the blinds cleaned and suddenly the service call charge went up to $130. They told us this after they had already arrived and replaced the clips, so we were stuck.

Blind Magic made beautiful shades and blinds for my new house. In fact, I like them so much that today I ordered two more for windows I had previously thought would have curtains. Rachel came to my house twice to help me choose the styles and fabrics for shades, as well as vertical blinds for my sliding doors. I appreciated and benefited from her knowledge and experience. Ulan did an expert job of installing, and they all work perfectly. Kathy helped me today with my additional order. The shades are especially beautiful and add a lot of class to my living room. I highly recommend Blind Magic.

The good: Both my blinds were repaired and work well--one of them even better than when it was new! The confusion: The website implies that your blinds are repaired in your home or business or you can take your blinds to the shop for repair. If a Blind Magic technician comes out, there is a $130 service call fee plus the cost of the repair. I was okay with the cost estimate given when I scheduled because I expected the blinds to be repaired in my home. However, when the large truck arrived, the technician looked at the blinds, moved them and stated that he couldn't repair the blinds and had to take them to the shop.

I asked if they'd be returned that same day and he said that they were busy and maybe the next day. I called the shop for clarification and was told they'd be returned that afternoon. After the return window passed, I called again and was told that the blinds needed more parts, an additional parts charge, and would be ready the next morning.

When the next morning's return window passed, a new window of early afternoon was given and then the blinds were delivered and rehung. Lesson learned: There was an old lady who swallowed a cat. Fancy that--she swallowed a cat! She swallowed the cat to catch the bird; she swallowed the bird to catch the spider that wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her! She swallowed the spider to catch the fly. I don't know why she swallowed the fly.and I still don't.

Dropped off a hunter blind to be restring, with a three business day turn around. I was never called, after following up three times, I was told that It was not done and I could just come by and pick it up and go somewhere else. So, I did. To my surprise the restringing was completed and when I told the person my ordeal, she looked at me like I was crazy and demised me. What a bad experience!

Don't use this company! The employee they sent to my house stole my wedding rings, two other rings and a few other small items. Never got anywhere with the office manager and could not locate the company owners. They also did a terrible job fixing the blinds.

I took two sets of blinds in for repair today expecting to pick them up in 2 to 4 days. Larissa was as nice as can be. She took a look at them and said she had time to fix them on the spot. I really appreciate excellent customer service and that's what I got from Blind Magic!

Blind magic cleaned my faux wood blinds today and my shutters I only removed one star because they were unable to make one shutter repair which I thought they should be able to do. Glen my service technician was wonderful the blinds look great the plantation shutters look great he took great care of my home. I would recommend him and blind magic as well

This place is great! My wife and I had a large custom blind that covered our back sliding glass door. The strings on the door side failed (after 10 years, so a good run) we thought about changing them ourselves but I said let's see if we can have them professionally fixed because I have no idea how to do this (neither did she) and replacing the entire blind would cost about $500. So.after google searching I found Blind Magic - gave them a call and the nice lady quoted me between 35 to $65 to restring.

What a deal! I figured we would be on the high end and might even be more than $65 - but heck my time and sanity is worth the $65! So we get there and very nice lady (same I spoke to on the phone) told us it would be $65 (we thought it would be more since the blinds are so big - but no!) she also allowed us to pay partial but we just paid he whole amount.

Less than a week later and I get the call that the blind is ready - went and pickup and done. Bottom line - save yourself the hassle, support a small business and let them do it right. If you have nice blinds it's the way to go! Thanks Blind Magic!

Worst nightmare ever. drove from folsom, bought 2 new blinds and was told they would come to the house. nope had to drive back again to pick up only to find when i got home they were assembled wrong and had bent slats. was told not their problem and that i had to deal with the manufacturer. do yourself a favor and just hang newspaper, you'll be more satisfied. stay away is recommended

Unbelievably unprofessional. I had 5 blinds restrung. $282.00. One of them was restrung with the wrong color cord. The color is not off by a little, but a completely different end of the color spectrum. Funny thing is since I am a painting contractor the tech and myself had an extensive conversation about colors of cord they have on the truck. His reply to my question of how many colors of cords are there, was "how many colors of paint are there?" At any rate the office was very poor at communicating.

When I reported the incident I was told "don't worry, it will get taken care of". But they never called me back to try and fix it. Yes it would be taken care of "AT THEIR CONVENIENCE"? They did not call me back that night and ignored the voicemail message I left them to call me. Non existent customer service. When I finally reached them I was told I would have to subject myself to another 3 hour time window.

I was told by the office I would get a courtesy phone call 30 minutes before arrival. However that is what they told us about the original appointment but that never happened. They just showed up and said the 30 minute phone call request was never communicated to him. I told the office I could not wait around town again for three hours and told them they needed to inconvenience themselves to fix their shoddy work.

They refused and said the three hour window was unconditional. The tech knew he installed a competently different color cord according to the office, he took full responsibility however I was told, now they have to put other customers (with scheduled appointments) ahead of ones that already paid. Poor customer service, unreliable, non-communication, dismissive, techs that do poor work and dash.

I was told over and over again that they are tying to help ME with MY problem, but the only solution was based upon their convenience. My "problem" was created by them. They needed to make it convenient for me. They are stubborn and unyielding. In the end they acted as though they were doing me a favor by refunding the portion for the work performed incorrectly and ask me not to post a yelp review. I am a small business man. If this happened to my company it would have been fixed immediately. But it wouldn't happen to me! Be ware!

Last year we had one of our Hunter Douglas blinds break. I called around and found that very few places actually repair blinds, most just replace. They handled our repair quickly and the cost was very reasonable. It was as good as new after ordering a new part from the manufacturer. Another set of blinds went down a few days ago and I know exactly where to go now.

GO ELSEWHERE! Three issues with this place. 1) blinds were done weeks ago but no one called me and if they did call me they sure didn't leave a message. 2) went in there to pay for the blind cleaning service and the employee did not have any change. We had to pull out our bucket of change from inside the car, paid the man. 3) THEN!. We left the bucket sitting on the counter, came back to the car, noticed we didn't have it, went back into the store to find it sitting next to the male employee who didn't bother to tell us we left our bucket of change.

To me, he was purposefully not going to tell us so he could enjoy our $30 worth of coins. Never going back, please give your service to a more professional and helpful company.

I called this place on a recommendation from a retailer that didn't do repair work. After setting an up appointment, they came out to take measurements and such. I was given a 1-3 window, we called at 330, 4 and 430 before someone finally showed up. My estimate never arrived, so I called in to ask for it. Several days later I still didn't get it so I called in again.

They were able to find it but they had missed two windows and counted the missing parts incorrectly. I should have moved on at this point but I didn't. Several weeks later my parts had arrived and they called to set up an install time. Again, the technician was over an hour late and he arrived without all the parts that were requested on the invoice.

He left and said someone would call us back to set up an appointment. The following week the office called me demanding we make an immediate payment. Hold up. the technician left and said someone would call us to schedule an appointment to finish the work. The technician was right. Payment comes when you do the agreed upon work. The woman on the phone was incredibly rude and basically kept talking over me.

I told her very clearly I'd be happy to pay the full invoice once my work was complete. She hung up, called again and tried telling me my work was already discounted. ummmmm? No it wasn't. It wasn't discounted on my estimate and no one had ever mentioned to me anything about a discount. I asked if someone could come out today and finish the installation (seeing as I'd already taken two afternoons off for someone that that was over an hour late twice) but that offer was rejected.

I asked to speak to the owner to explain the situation and she said she'd pass my information along. About 20 minutes later, another call. this time she was a completely different person. Helpful, and polite, she offered to allow me to pay when the work was done and set up another appointment for when the parts arrived. Not sure what happened.

On service call number three. the technician showed up on time to the dot with all the required parts, and completed the job. The work was even discounted to cover the installation of the previously missing parts. I'm not sure I'd recommend this place, but in the end the work did get done.

Terrible business experience! I would never recommend them! As far as the work that was fine, it was the customer service and the lack of creativity. On initial contact via their web site a phone call was not returned. Then after finally reaching them and establishing the scope of work, they measured incorrectly and caused me to take additional time and money out of my busy schedule.

They did not care that their mistake cost me time and money! A simple gesture of understanding would be a start! However, here is their position, "Since we have to go back out to the job site and remeasure it will actually cost us money." Really? This should not be my problem! I am the customer and I expect you to do your work correctly! When I called the company the receptionist laughed at me on the phone. Unacceptable.

I will do everything in my power to ensure you never see money from a certain corporate customer. Once the technician was back onsite, he blamed the receptionist for the mixup and that just may be the case since it sounded like she never wrote down anything to begin with or gain agreement. Then on the final visit to finish the job, the technician shows up 45 min late! Hey Blind Magic, I have a new name for you."Shady Blinds"!
