Recently purchased a rug on a trip to the middle east. The seller presented it as Persian, silk, and hand-knotted. I brought it to Benham for an insurance appraisal and now know it's Turkish, rayon, and machine-knotted. They were very supportive and gave me advice on how to recover my money. Highly recommend!

Mr. Tavakolian did a great job teaching us how we can differentiate between a good handmade rug which increases in value and imitation machine made rugs. We learned how to care for our rug so it will age properly and increase in value as a family investment. We learned the generational value of rugs passing from parents to children. Behnam Rugs taught the large number of people gathered about rugs, investing in rugs and how to care for our rugs.

He treated us to great feast of Persian food and drinks. I recommend Behnam Rugs and Mr Tavakolian without reservation. He and his Persian rug collection is wonderful. I will be back.

Thank you, Benham Rugs! Our formal area rugs had never been professionally cleaned. One rug had a large, three-inch black spot soaked through to the pad. Several services declined to help, but Benham agreed to try and clean it for us. Their courteous workers arrived promptly and returned the rugs when promised. We were amazed at the results. Not only was the big black cooking oil spill spot removed, but we couldn't tell which side of the rug had been soiled. Our 30+ year old rugs look like new! Thanks again, Benham Rugs!

Behnam did a fantastic job of cleaning my 4 carpets! All of the "Dog smell" was gone! They also "refringed" three of these carpets and did just a great job. Far superior to the job done on another carpet, that was done by another company. Behnam's fringe was understated, looking just like the original fringe. I highly recommend them! Very friendly and responsive staff.

I found Behnam about a year ago as we had 10-12 handmade wool, silk-wool blend, and silk rugs that needed cleaning and repair. Behnam did an excellent job of cleaning these. Several of the wool rugs had 10+ year old stains that we thought would never come out and they were able to remove nearly all traces of the stains. It was amazing. The repairs they performed were top notch. The showroom is wonderful and we have been to several seminars on rug cleaning and other topics. Beautiful new rugs as well.

My husband and I came to Behnam Rugs looking for two living room rugs. We were greeted by Bobby and we explained what we had in mind. He knew his inventory very well and worked with us to find exactly what we were looking for. The store has a great selection of rugs. We will definitely be returning for our dining room rug.

I would give this company a five-star rating for cleaning and repairing my antique persian rug. They did a great job and I was very pleased until I called to get them to send me an appraisal. At that time I was told I would have to return it to them for written appraisal for insurance purposes. Understand they kept this rug for five weeks and spent a lot of time on repairs.

I am willing to pay a reasonable amount for the appraisal; however, I spent nearly $3,000 for recent service and feel an additional $350 is unreasonable. I also do not understand why, after evaluating it from top to bottom just weeks ago, I would have to bring it in for the appraisal. I will be calling a professional rug appraiser who will come to my home for a lot less.

Having grown up and old with oriental rugs in my home, I have experience several oriental rug cleaning specialists. I would put Behnam at the top. Courteous and professional when examining your rugs. They are prompt in service. The cleaning result is most impressive. The two rugs they just cleaned were the first time I have used their services. I plan to take another rug next week.

Not only have they done incredible work Cleaning, Repairing, and working diligently on some of the little white spots on my two 100 year old Chinese Art Deco Nichols Rugs; they have been kind enough to hold the delivery until my wood floors were installed. Just before I moved to Texas When our home was built we had the opportunity to unfurl the rug only to find that our beautiful chinese hand knotted rug was ruined. I have been a customer of Behnam Rugs since 2007. They have cleaned my rugs multiple times due to pet stains and the rugs always come back looking and smelling like new. They are very knowledgable and will take great care of your rugs.

We recently had a pipe leak while we were out of town that resulted in serious flooding of our home. My large wool area rug was soaked in some areas, and 'bled' on itself.causing dark discoloration on the lighter parts. I had used Behnam Rugs before, but this time, I called in a panic. They got the rug immediately and cleaned it. The stains remained. Mr. Ben reassured me that he was not done, and that he would continue to use tried and true methods to take out the dark red stains.and his methods worked! You just walk in and you feel calm. They do wonderful work cleaning and restoring your rugs in addition to having an amazing inventory.

I dropped off a large silk area rug to have some stains removed -the staff are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable, they charged a fair price, explained the cleaning process, had it ready within a reasonable amount of time, did not try to charge me more than the quote, and the rug looks fantastic again, I would recommend and will be taking my two other rugs here for cleaning as well. We needed our Persian rug cleaned. It was a very expensive item and we needed a true professional company to handle the job. When I brought the rug to Benham, Ben the owner was able to tell me EXACTLY where the rug was made, where I bought it and precisely how much I paid! That showed me he REALLY knows the products he sells and services. The rug was cleaned beautifully, for a reasonable price, within the time frame quoted. What else could we ask for? I highly recommend this company for anything needed in expensive Persian rugs.

I brought in my 5x8, white, pottery barn rug to be washed (not half the quality of those they carry) and received incredible service! Not only did they get out every spot, it came back looking brand new! For the hand washing service, the prices are great! Their attention to detail and care is impeccable! EVERY employee is kind and attentive. I am excited to purchase a rug for my living room from them very soon!

Very professional. They gave me a lot of information about my rug, and were very meticulous about making sure I understood how it would be cleaned, any risks involved, etc. They did a great job and the rug looks fantastic. Good work and great customer service. They also have an aviary on the roof and will let you feed the birds. They seem to really enjoy their work. You don't often find this kind of single proprietorship where the owner takes an interest in each customer, even for a small job like mine.
